Over the past few weeks I have received several requests on some products that are good for working from home. This will be a post filled with affiliate links so it may not be for everyone. But if you are interested in some of my personal recommendations, read on.
Each of the products below I personally use and highly recommend for different reasons. If you are looking for something in particular leave a comment below and I will update this article. Since more and more people are working from home, many products might go out of stock quickly or go on back order.
Work from home office ergonomics
If you are spending more time in front of a computer or laptop, your work environment needs to be ergonomic.
For small spaces, I recommend the UNICOO – Height Adjustable Sit Stand Workstation. It has many easy adjustment and keeps your devices off of the ground. I was able to get this for $89.96 at time of purchase. 4.5/5 Stars.
If you have a larger space and two larger monitors, I recommend the UNICOO – Crank Adjustable Height Standing Desk. Being able to move from sitting to standing has many health benefits. I was able to get this for $179.99 at time of purchase. 4.2/5 Stars
If you want the best possible chair it will run over a thousand dollars and anyone who has sat in one of these will say it is worth it – the Herman Miller Aeron Ergonomic Office Chair. I was able to get this for $1,395 at time of purchase. 4.1/5 Stars.
For something a bit more budget friendly and comfortable, the Office Chair, Ergonomic Mesh Home Office Computer Chair with Lumbar Support/Adjustable Headrest/Armrest and Wheels/Mesh High Back/Swivel Rolling (Grey) is a good choice. I was able to get this for $89.99 at time of purchase. 4.1/5 Stars.
Chairs do not last forever and recently I upgraded from the one above (it lasted about 2 years) to Gabrylly Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair, High Back Desk Chair – Adjustable Headrest with Flip-Up Arms, Tilt Function, Lumbar Support and PU Wheels, Swivel Computer Task Chair, Grey which has a higher price point but much more comfortable. It is $298.50 at time of writing and the same price I paid a few months ago with 4.4/5 Stars.
One of the most important things commonly overlooked is a good mouse. I recommend the J-Tech Digital Scroll Endurance Wired Mouse Ergonomic Vertical USB Mouse. A vertical mouse will look and feel different but you will notice the difference in wrist fatigue and pain after using it versus a traditional mouse. Also go for the wired version as any wireless mouse will die much more frequently and you do not want your batteries to die in the middle of something important and no replacement batteries in sight. Work from home meeting accessories
If you need a webcam for virtual meetings, get something that has a good camera and microphone. The Logitech C270 Desktop or Laptop Webcam is one of the best and does the job well. I was able to get this for $22.95 at time of purchase. 4.4/5 Stars.
Homes can get noisy and if you want to filter out background noise, give Krisp a try. It’s free for light usage and my personal rating is 5/5 Stars.

Work from home conserving bandwith
The internet is getting taxed with so many people working from home so things may slow down. You also do not want to slow down your connection by having streaming TV running while you are working. The best way to completely eliminate this and possibly your cable bill is to get a digital antenna. You would be surprised at the quality, it’s digital and HD. I recommend two components as there have been some changes with bandwidth and a filter is needed to keep the signal clean.
Amplified Digital HD Indoor TV Antenna. I was able to get this for $4.97 at time of purchase. 4.2/5 Stars. Now it’s completely gone so this is the next bet option for less than $30.
Channel Master LTE Filter. You can find out more information about the FCC TV Rescan initiative which will complete in July 2020. I was able to get this for $19.00 at time of purchase. 3.8/5 Stars.
Work from home comfort and hygiene
This will be a mix of things that are generally good for comfort and hygiene.
Forget socks and hot sneakers, get a pair of the CROC Classic Clog. I was able to get this on a special sale for $17.62 at time of purchase but usually runs about $40-$50. 4.8/5 Stars. It’s unisex so don’t worry if it says men or women.
Many people don’t know about bidets but once you try it, you will never go back – the Luxe Bidet Neo 120. You want to be fresh especially if you are sitting all day. I was able to get this for $29.95 at time of purchase. 4.5/5 Stars.
Another important thing to take care of is oral hygiene. You might not be able to get a dentist appointment with the current situation so try the Philips Sonicare AirFloss. I was able to get this for $49.95 at time of purchase. 4.5/5 Stars.
Work from home office reading
Reading is good anytime but use the time saved on commuting for reading some good books.
The Four Agreements is one of my favorites and perfect to help handle miscommunication especially when not face to face talking with someone.
Overall take enough breaks, stretch every hour and get in as much exercise as you can. Unfortunately all of the home fitness equipment I was shopping for is out of stock or the price doubled or tripled. Just go for long walks if you can do so safely.
